Our name, G3 Academy, reflects our core values and mission. G stands for “generation” – we are proud to be the third generation of entrepreneurs in our family, and we bring that same entrepreneurial spirit to our work at G3 Academy. The number 3 also represents the three siblings who founded and run G3 Academy. Our commitment to family values is reflected in the personalized attention we give to each student, treating them like a member of our own family.

G3 Academy is a family-owned business established in 2010 by three siblings: Juan, Glen, and Teresa von Hartz. Coming from a background that prioritized education, the siblings excelled in their studies and soon recognized the need for personalized education services in their community.
To ensure the highest quality of service, they carefully recruited modern-day professionals and recent graduates with similar professional backgrounds to join them. Each G3 Academy staff member underwent a rigorous selection process based on their proficiency and recommendations from their universities, ensuring that G3 Academy’s team became trusted role models for their students.
As time passed, the company expanded its offerings to include assistive homeschooling and a highly successful college admissions program. Today, G3 Academy continues to provide personalized and comprehensive academic coaching and support to students of all ages and backgrounds.

Armando Juan von Hartz
Juan is a highly accomplished individual with a passion for education. He holds a double major degree in Civil Engineering (with a specialization in Hydraulics) and Physics from Florida International University. Juan is the original founder and first tutor of G3 Academy. He opened the first office in 2010, driven by his desire to share his love for learning with others.
As the head of G3 Academy’s math programs and manager of the US market, Juan brings his expertise and passion to everything he does. He is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals and find their own love for learning. In his free time, Juan enjoys traveling, camping, and hiking. Juan has a passion for music and is the proud owner of a beloved dog named Waffles.
Alejandro Glen von Hartz
Glen von Hartz, one of the original founders of G3 Academy, graduated from Florida International University with a double major in History and Psychology, completing his studies in a record time of three and a half years. He joined his brother, Juan, in G3 Tutoring before graduating, and his contributions to the company were invaluable. Glen designed and launched the English programs and opened the College Admissions department, and was instrumental in expanding the company’s services to assistive homeschooling. Sadly, Glen passed away, but his legacy lives on through the continued success of G3 Academy. He was known for his passion for cross-country and international cycling tours, as well as his love for hiking, drawing, and acting. Glen had a great sense of humor and loved to sing karaoke, even though it was agreed that he sang better in the car.
Teresa von Hartz
Teresa is a highly accomplished businesswoman with a passion for communication and entrepreneurship. She holds a double major in business and communication and runs two successful businesses of her own. At G3 Academy, Teresa serves as the head of the College Admissions Department.
Teresa also supervises the expansion department, which oversees G3’s Latin American offices. She is committed to helping G3 Academy grow and succeed and has a knack for managing her team to achieve its goals.
Outside of office hours, Teresa is a devoted wife and mother of two. She enjoys hosting dinner parties, where her love for music adds a special touch to the gatherings.
At G3 Academy, we understand the importance of having a physical location for local students to receive in-person tutoring and have a focused study space. Although our online platform is accessible worldwide, we are proud to offer several physical locations.
The Von Hartz family has resided on Key Biscayne for over 70 years, so it is no surprise that this is where G3 Academy’s first office opened in 2010. Here, we offer both private rooms and open study spaces, working closely with students from nearby middle, and high schools and masters programs.

Weston is a developing area of South Florida with a large international community. Our office here opened in 2021 as a response to the need for test prep and college application. Our Miami clientele asked us to open locations in their home countries to allow their family members obtain a proper education that can guarantee education in the United States. As per their request and due to the high demand in 2019, G3 Academy opened its Latin America branch in Guatemala City.
