SAT Prep

The SAT system families trust for stronger scores and clearer next steps.

G3 helps students prepare for the digital SAT with stronger skills, clearer strategy, and a structured system from the first diagnostic to test day.

What is the SAT

A standardized test that still matters.

The SAT is a college admissions test that evaluates how students apply Reading and Writing, and Math skills in a timed, standardized format.

What is tested

Reading and Writing, and Math are assessed through skill-based questions that reward both knowledge and application.

Digital format

The digital SAT changes pacing, navigation, and how students experience the test.

400–1600 score

SAT scores can remain an important academic data point in admissions and merit-aid decisions, depending on the institution.

Why Prepare

Preparation can change the outcome.

The SAT is not only about content. Deliberate preparation helps students improve timing, confidence, strategy, and familiarity with the format — all of which can support stronger performance.

Higher score potential

Preparation strengthens both skill and test-day execution.

Stronger merit-aid opportunities

Stronger scores can expand merit-aid possibilities where SAT scores are considered.

Less stress, more clarity

Students walk in with a plan instead of uncertainty.

Designed for students who need stronger Math foundations before or alongside SAT Prep. It reinforces core algebraic concepts while supporting SAT-style reasoning and problem solving.

Strengthens core Math foundations Supports SAT-style reasoning Often recommended after the diagnostic

English readiness

English Boot Camp

Designed for students who need stronger verbal foundations before or alongside SAT Prep. It strengthens reading, grammar, and language fundamentals while preparing students for SAT Reading and Writing work.

Builds reading and language foundations Reinforces grammar and verbal skills Prepares students for SAT Reading and Writing demands

Recommended after the diagnostic

Boot Camps are recommended when results show that stronger foundations should come before or alongside SAT Prep.

Built for readiness

These are not generic tutoring classes. They are structured to build the skills students need for a stronger SAT path.

Designed for a stronger start

Boot Camps help students begin SAT Prep with better foundations, more confidence, and a more appropriate starting point.

Questions families often ask

A few quick answers before you begin.

When should my child start SAT Prep?

The ideal time is usually summer after 10th grade or early 11th grade. Starting earlier gives students time to build skills, strategy, and confidence without the pressure of rushing close to test dates or application deadlines.

Why start early if the SAT still feels far away?

Meaningful improvement usually happens through steady preparation over time. Starting early reduces pressure, gives students more time to improve, and helps families avoid last-minute preparation before application season.

How do you decide which SAT program is the right fit?

We begin with a free diagnostic and a conversation about the student’s goals, current level, and timeline. From there, we recommend the path that best fits the student’s current needs and level of support.

What makes G3’s SAT Prep different from studying alone?

Independent practice can help, but a structured system gives students clearer direction. G3 combines diagnostics, level-based placement, guided instruction, strategy, practice, and reinforcement so students know what to work on and why.

Is group SAT Prep better than private tutoring?

It depends on the student. Well-structured group preparation can provide strong accountability, peer learning, and a consistent pace, while private preparation can be a better fit when a student needs more flexibility or highly targeted support. The diagnostic helps us recommend the stronger fit.

What happens after the diagnostic?

After the diagnostic, we explain the student’s results, identify where they stand, and recommend the strongest next step. That may include SAT Core, SAT Advantage, SAT Private, SAT Reinforcement, or a foundation-building Boot Camp, depending on the student’s readiness, goals, current score, and timeline.

Does the SAT still matter with test-optional schools?

It can. Testing policies vary by institution, and some colleges require scores while others allow applicants to decide whether to submit them. Where scores are considered, a strong SAT score can strengthen the academic profile and may also support merit-aid opportunities. Families should always review the testing policy of each college on the student’s list.

What if my child isn’t ready for SAT Prep yet?

If the diagnostic shows foundational gaps in Math or English, we may recommend an Algebra Boot Camp or English Boot Camp before or alongside SAT Prep. The goal is to begin at the level of readiness that gives the student the strongest foundation for improvement.
